Was were का प्रयोग प्रयोग तब होता जब वाक्य के अंत में था , थे थीं मुख्य क्रिया के रूप में प्रयोग होता है तब वाक्य के कर्ता के अनुसार was were का

किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु या स्थान की पुरानी अवस्था के बारे में जानकारी देने के लिए was और were का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

पहचान :– जब वाक्य के अंत में था, थी, थीं या थे  मुख्य क्रिया के रूप में ( अर्थात् उस वाक्य में कोई verb नहीं होना चाहिए )  रहता है तब वाक्य के कर्ता ( subject ) के अनुसार was या were का प्रयोग होता है।


Person Singular Plural
First Person मैं तैयार था।
I was ready.		मलोग तैयार थे।
We were ready..
Second Person तुम तैयार हो।
You were ready.
आप तैैैैयार हैं।
You were ready.		 तुमलोग तैयार हो।
You were ready.
आपलोग तैयार हैैं।
You were ready.
Third Person
 वह तैयार है।
He/She was ready .
यह तैयार है।
It was ready.
राम तैयार है।
Ram was ready.		 वे लोग तैयार हैं।
They were ready.

लड़के तैयार हैं।
The boys were ready.

First Person Singular Number और Third Person Singular Number के साथ was का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

हम इसे ऐसे भी समझ सकते हैं

I, He, She और Singular Noun के साथ Was का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

For Example:

खाना स्वादिष्ट था।
Food was tasty.

क्या वह अकेली थी?
Was she alone?

सवाल कठिन था।
Question was hard.

चाय गरम था।
Tea was hot.

पानी ठंडा था।
Water was cold.

कोलकाता भारत की राजधानी थी।
Kolkata was the capital of India.

यह तुम्हारी समस्या थी।
It was your problem.

दिल्ली बहुत दूर था।
Delhi was far.

वह क्लास में नहीं था।
He was not in the class.

तुम्हारी तबीयत कैसी थी?
How was your health?

तुम्हारा परीक्षा कैसा था?
How was your exam?

आपका सफर कैसा था?
How was your journey?

कल छुट्टी थी।
Yesterday was a holiday.

दरवाजे पर कोई नहीं था।
There was no one at the door.

मेरा घर बाजार के पास था।
My house was near the market.

मैं उस समय जवान था।
I was young that time.


Use Of Were In Hindi | Were ka prayog


First Person Plural Number , Second Person Singular Number तथा Plural Number और Third Person Plural Number के साथ were का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

हम इसे ऐसे भी समझ सकते हैं

We, You, They और Plural Noun के साथ Were का प्रयोग किया जाता है।

For Example:

हम लोग सिर्फ दोस्त थे।
We were just friends.

दुकाने कल बंद थे।
The shops were closed yesterday.

ये नोट फटे हुए थे।
This notes were turn.

हम लोग प्यासे थे।
We were thirsty.

ये आलू सड़े हुए थे।
These potatoes were rotten.

सारे केले पके हुए थे।
All bananas were ripe.

वे लोग अमीर थे।
They were rich.

हम लोग दिल्ली में थे।
We were in Delhi.

Structure


S + was/were + other word.

For Example:

राधा स्वस्थ थी।
Radha was healthy.

मीरा गायिका थी।
Mera was singer.

महेश बीमार था।
Mahesh was ill.

वह एक छात्रा थी।
She was an student.

वह उस समय एक राजा था।
He was a king at that time.

राम और मदन बेरोजगार थे।
Ram and Madan were unemployed.

राधा नर्स थी।
Radha was a nurse.

महेंद्र का भाई खिलाड़ी था।
The brother of Mahendra was a player.

मुकेश की बहन शिक्षित थी।
Mukesh's sister was educated.

तुम्हारा भाई पागल था।
Your brother was mad.

तुम्हारा नौकर चालाक था।
Your servant was very clever.

Structure


S + was/were + not +other word.


For Example:

मैं एक डॉक्टर नहीं था।
I was not a doctor.

तुम एक विधार्थी नहीं थे।
You were not an student.

आप एक डॉक्टर नहीं था।
You were not a doctor.

गीता बीमार नहीं था।
Geeta was not ill.

सीता एक गायिका नहीं थी। 
sita was not a singer.

सीता और रीता गायिका नहीं थी।
Sita and Rita were not singer.

वे लोग चोर नहीं थे।
They were not thief.

राम और श्याम किसान नहीं था।
Ram and shyam were not farmers.

तुम दुबले नहीं थे।
You were not thin.

तुम और मैं खुश नहीं था।
You and I were not happy.
